Studio IVID, founded in 2017 by lead designer Irena Vlaović, has grown from a small visionary project into a prestigious interior design studio based in Kastav, with a wealth of experience behind it.

Our full interior design service combines both interior and exterior spatial design and includes personal consultations, comprehensive project management, site visits, complete equipment procurement, and execution supervision.

A team of experienced collaborators, suppliers, and contractors work closely together to precisely implement each project from the initial idea to final realization. The spaces we design are not abstract visions, but clear, well-developed, and feasible projects that demand top-quality execution in every detail.

My approach to interior design is built on trust, clarity, and thoughtfulness. The starting point of every successful project is an honest and open conversation that establishes a strong relationship between the client and the designer. When mutual trust exists, the result is almost always successful and exceeds expectations.

Balance between function and aesthetics is key and most important in my work. I believe every detail in a space must be carefully considered—nothing is accidental; everything has to serve a purpose and contribute to daily use and the overall feel of the space.

Equally important is the timing of hiring the service; ideally, an interior designer should be involved during the architectural planning phase when there’s still room to influence all elements. It’s also beneficial during construction before installations are completed, while the most challenging option is to join at the late structural phase (high rohbau).

When designing interiors, I offer two solution options: one fully original and another adapted to the client’s wishes. I always stay true to the core theme and client’s desires, but carefully guide them through the process to avoid confusion or drifting away from the concept—something that can easily happen with the influence of numerous ideas and available inspirations.

Architecture sets the rhythm of the space, and interior design complements and listens to it.
