The reconstruction project is focused on repurposing an apartment into a functional and inviting office space. Given the unique characteristics of this historic building in the heart of Opatija, we decided to preserve the existing partitions and transform the existing rooms into separate offices, ensuring an efficient layout and privacy for each workspace.
Decorative wall claddings were used as an aesthetic and functional solution to conceal uneven walls, while simultaneously respecting the authentic and historic character of the space. Additionally, vaults (arches) are an architectural feature of Opatija’s heritage and were carefully implemented, further emphasizing the tradition and uniqueness of the building. This approach provided a solid foundation for the overall design and highlighted the distinctiveness of the interior.
After several successful previous collaborations, Irena instinctively knew what we wanted and immediately found the direction and concept for the space, fulfilling our long-awaited dreams. When creating a new workspace where you spend your daily working hours, you must have someone by your side who understands you and in whom you have complete trust. All praise for the realization of a seemingly simple, but actually very demanding project that radiates the elements of our fabulous Opatija!

The color palette includes soothing shades of blue and green, known for encouraging focus and tranquility—essential qualities for a productive work environment. Along with soft textures, including an exceptional carpet as the final floor covering, the design promotes a warm and comfortable atmosphere that motivates and supports a dynamic, fast daily workflow.
